  1. Create Some Content

You must have some videos ready on TikTok before you can start creating text. Open up the app first, and then click on the “+” icon so that you can make something.

  1. Choose Your Video Length

The screen on your mobile device lets you choose the length of your new video. You can also decide on different timers and filters at this time.

After you decide on the length, which is between 15-60 seconds, you will need to hold the red button down to start the filming process.

  1. Press the Red Check

After your video is complete, you will notice a red checkmark circle appear on the right-hand side of your screen. You will want to tap this icon so that your video is ready to have text added to it.

  1. Click the Text Button

You will find this option on the bottom left of the screen on your mobile device. It is the second option after Effects and sits before Filters or Stickers as your choices.

  1. Add Your Text

You have the option to write whatever text you want on the video within the terms and conditions of TikTok once you reach this stage. Some formatting options are available, including highlighting.

  • Users can change the font, color, alignment, and text size in the app.
  • If you need to delete any text after composing it, then tap on the item you want to remove.
  • Then tap the “X” icon that’s up in the upper-left of your screen.

You can add as many text blocks as you want onto the screen. Each one can be individually formatted to meet your specifications.

When you feel satisfied with the results of your text, then you will tap the red “Next” button on the bottom-right of the screen.

  1. Add Descriptions and Hashtags

Now that the text is complete on your TikTok video, it is time to add hashtags and a description so that it is easier to find. You have the option to take people at this step if you want. You also get to choose where you want to share the content. When everything is ready to go, then tap on “Post” when you’re ready to show off what you made.

If you follow these six steps, then you will successfully add text to your TikTok videos.
