Make Anonymous Calls Using Prefix
You need to change certain settings on your mobile phone to make private calls. Use the prefix number to make private calls from your phone. You can use the prefixes such *67, #31# and 141 to make private calls. The prefixes will vary according to the region and carrier of mobile phones.
- You need to open your mobile phone’s phone application. You can find this application on the home screen of your smartphone.
- If you are using a landline phone, then you need to prepare yourself to straightaway dial the prefix.
- If your mobile phone’s phone application does not land you to the keypad, then you need to tap the keypad icon. You do not have to follow this step in landline phones and keypad mobiles.

You can change some of the settings on your Android phone to make the private calls. As usual, you need to open your Android phone’s phone application. Tap the “more” or “dotted” feature, which appears on the top right corner of the phone application.
- Now, tap the settings option, which appears on the drop-down menu. You can see that the phone settings page is opened.
- Tap the calls or call settings or outgoing calls in the settings page. Then, you need to tap the caller ID option.
- Now, tap hide number and you can make private calls.

iPhone users can follow the following steps to make private calls from their mobile. You need to open your iPhone’s setting application and scroll down and tap the “phone” option.
- Now, you need to tap the “Show My Caller ID” feature. If you cannot find this option, then you cannot hide your caller ID.
- You can contact your carrier or visit the website to check whether caller ID hiding is a paid service.
- You need to turn off the “Show My Caller ID” option to make private calls from your phone.

The Google voice app will let you make anonymous calls. If you did not find this application, you need to download it on your iPhone or Android mobile.
- Tap the “Calls” option in the voice app and tap the “+” option.
- You can find a space to enter your recipient’s mobile number. After entering the number, you need to tap the call button.
- If you call to your recipient, your recipient will be able to address a number, but not your real phone number.
