1. Change Apple Password on a Browser
  • Using your preferred browser, head to the Apple ID website via https://appleid.apple.com/. On this page, you can manage all your Apple ID information with no exception to your password.
  • Log in to your Apple ID account using your email address and password associated with the account if you had not accessed the account in the past 30min.
  • Scroll down to locate the “Security” section near the upper part of the screen.
  • While still in the security section, locate and click on the “Change Password” option. By doing so, a dropdown menu will appear on the screen.
  • Key-in your old Apple ID password in the top text field.
  • Enter a new password in the “new password” field and re-enter it in the following field named “Verify” to confirm your password. Also, it is essential to note that your password should be strong, at least eight characters, must contain a number, a lower case letter, and any upper case letter.
  • Finally, click on the blue “Change password” button at the bottom of the page to keep your changes.
  1. Change Apple ID Password Using 2-Step Authentication
  • Launch your preferred browser and head to  https://appleid.apple.com
  • On the page that appears, click on the “Forgot Apple ID or Password.
  • After that, feed-in your Apple ID in the text field provided and select the option for resetting your password.
  • After that, click on “Continue” to proceed to the next step.
  • Type your “Recovery Key” in the text box provided and select the device from the options on which to use for receiving your verification code.
  • Enter the verification code sent to you in the appropriate field and create a new password.
  • Select “Reset Password” to keep the new password. After that, you will be prompted to log in to the site again using your new password.
  1. Change Apple ID Password on Mac Computer
  • Click on the Apple on the upper left corner of your Mac’s screen, and a dropdown will pop-up.
  • Scroll down to locate the “System Preference” near the top and then click on it. By doing that, a preference window will open.
  • While on the “System Preference” window, locate the “iCloud” icon and then click to open the iCloud pane.
  • Locate and click on the “Account Details” located on the left pane under your profile photo.
  • Click on the “Security” option on the upper side of the window that opens.
  • Next, click on the gray “Change Password” option towards the top of the window. By doing that, a pop–up window displaying the password field.
  • At this point, you should type your new password in the “Password” field and re-enter it in the next blank text field for “Verify.” You should choose a strong password with at least eight characters, one number, at least one lower and uppercase letter.
  • When through with setting your new password, click on the blue “Change Password” button located at the lower part of your Mac’s screen. Your old password will be no more. When logging in to your Apple account in the future, you should use the new password.
  1. Change Apple ID password on iPhone
  • On the home screen of your iPhone, locate and tap on the “Settings” app that resembles gears with a greyed background.
  • Tap on your Apple ID on the upper part of the screen next to your profile photo.
  • After that, tap on the “Password & Security” option on the upper part of the page.
  • Then, tap on the “Change Password” option on the upper side of the page.
  • Enter your old password in the field provided and then proceed to the next area to create a new password.
  • Enter your anticipated password in the “new” field and then re-enter the password in the “Verify” field to confirm it. The two password entries should match before you can proceed to the next step. Also, it should contain at least one number, lower case letter, and upper case letter. If the two new password entries don’t match, you should repeat this step before proceeding.
  • Finally, tap on the “Change” option in the top-right corner of the screen to keep your changes. When prompted to sign out other devices using the same Apple ID, you can choose to sign them out or tap on “Do Not Sign out” to skip.  By doing that, you will have your old password replaced with the newly set password.

  • Using your preferred browser, navigate to  https://appleid.apple.com
  • On the page that appears, click on the “Forgot Apple ID or Password “and choose on the option resetting your password and then click on the “Continue” to proceed.  
  • At this point, you should choose to either respond to a security question, use your phone number, or follow the email prompts to change your Apple ID password. And that’s much of it.
