1. How To Change Microsoft Password From Microsoft Account Menu
  • From your browser menu, go to account.microsoft.com. You can use any of your favorite browsers for this step.
  • On the page that appears, click on the blue “SIGN IN WITH MICROSOFT” near the center of the page.
  • Enter your usual password in the field provided and click on the blue “Sign In” button at the bottom right corner and get into your account.
  • Once in your account, click on the “Security” tab on the upper side of the page.
  • Select “Password security “and type in your current password.
  • Key-in a new password in the field provided and re-enter the new password to confirm that it is the password that intended.
  • Select “Save” and your old password should be no more. To confirm the changes, you can sign out and sign in again or try to login to your Microsoft account using the current password.

  • Launch your favorite browser on any computer or smartphone and go to Microsoft Account Password Reset page.
  • On the account recovery page, enter your Microsoft email/ alternate email/ phone or Skype name depending on the username you used to create the Microsoft account. Then, click the blue “Next” button at the bottom page to proceed.
  • Select the convenient method to receive a verification code, such as a phone or alternate email. If you want to see other verification methods, you can select” Show more verification methods” at the lower part of the page.
  • Provide the required information, such as the last four digits of the phone number associated with the Microsoft account or your complete email address associated with the same account. After that, choose on “Get Code” to receive a verification code through phone or email.
  • Enter your code in the field provided and choose the “Next” button at the bottom left corner.
  • Enter your new password in the field provided and re-enter the password in the next lower field to confirm it. When through, select the blue “Next” button at the bottom right of the window, and a notification will appear reading “Your Password is changed.
  • If you’d wish to sign in using your newly set password, you can go ahead and click on the blue ”Sign in” button at the bottom left. Bravo! You’ve successfully changed your password, and now you can use it in your Microsoft office.
  1. Change Microsoft Password in Windows
  • Locate the icon resembling a magnifying lens to the right of the start menu bar and type in “Change your password” in the search bar.
  • From the options displayed, click on the “Change your password” option with a key icon.
  • Click on the “Change” option under the “password” header.
  • After that, enter your current password in the field provided.
  • Click on the blue “Next” button.
  • Enter your new password in the first two boxes and then provide your password hint in the third box.
  • Click on the “Finish” button to get your password change. In the future, you should use the new password to log in to Microsoft account from your windows.
