Can I cancel my UCAS application?
If you change your mind about applying, you can cancel your application and request a refund within 14 days. The easiest way to do this is to call us. If it’s been more than 14 days since you submitted your application, you can withdraw it via Track at any time, however no refund will be issued.

How will Clearing Work 2020?
Clearing is how unis and colleges fill any places they still have on their courses. From 5 July – 19 October, you can apply for a course using Clearing if you’re not already holding an offer from a university or college, and the course still has places. You can use Clearing if: you’re applying after 30 June.
Does UCAS keep a record of old applications?
If you apply through, or link your application to, your school, college, or UCAS registered centre, they can access the content of your application and keep up-to-date with your progress. They won’t be able to update or see any information you provide about your sexual orientation, gender identity, or religious belief.
Can you edit UCAS after paying?
This can’t be amended once your application has been sent. If there any changes you want to make, you need to get in touch with your university choices to ask if they’d be willing to accept a new draft sent to them directly.
How do I decline an offer after accepting UCAS?

Can you go to uni without UCAS?
If you’re going to apply for a full time undergraduate course then you’re going to have to go through UCAS, even if you apply to the university directly. In fact, most universities won’t even allow you to apply directly for their courses.
Why can’t I edit my UCAS application?
You cannot amend your personal statement once it has been sent to UCAS. If you decide you want to change it, contact your university and college choices to ask if you can send them an amended version directly.
Can you change your mind after accepting a university offer?
Your contract with the University begins as soon as you accept your offer. If you want to cancel your place, you should do so within 14 days. You have the right to cancel your acceptance of a firm or insurance offer. You do not have to give a reason for cancelling your place.
Why can’t I click on Pay send on UCAS?
If your payment method is still being declined after registering for online payments, you will need to speak to your bank directly and ask them why they are refusing your payment for your UCAS application fee. If the bank confirms that your card should be OK to use, return to your UCAS application and try again.
Can I use the same UCAS account twice?
You’ll need a new UCAS account, but you can reuse your personal statement – but make sure you update it to include anything that has changed since your last application. Some universities also have courses starting in January, which you normally apply for directly rather than through UCAS.
Can I change my uni choices on UCAS?
You can swap a choice for a different one within 14 days of the date on your welcome email. You can only swap each choice once. If you swap after the relevant deadline for your new course choice, it will be considered late. Contact your chosen uni or college first to check they’d consider your application.
What happens if you don’t have a reference for UCAS?
There is actually an option to not include a reference, but only if you contact all your chosen universities and colleges and they agree that you don’t need one. Just confirm this on the reference page of your application.
How much does a UCAS application cost 2021?
The application fee is: If you’re applying to study in 2021: £20 for a single choice, or £26 for more than one choice. If you’re applying to study in 2022: £22 for a single choice, or £26.50 for more than one choice.
Do you have to pay to send off your UCAS?
You can only pay for and send your application when every section is marked as complete (with a red tick). If you’re applying through a school or college, they’ll be able to complete your reference and send us your application once you‘ve paid for it.
Can I get into uni without a reference?
No, we will need you to provide an academic reference with your UCAS application, ideally from your current school/college/university. If you are applying to transfer from another university, you will usually need to supply a reference from one of your current tutors rather than from your previous school or college.
