How to Delete Youtube Account

On your preferred browser, navigate to www.Youtube.com  and log in to your account.  On the upper-right corner of the page, click on your account icon.

From the Drop-down menu, click on the “Settings”

In the account section, click on the “View or change your Google account settings”

Next, get to the “Privacy & personalization” section and then choose the “Manage your data & personalization” section.

Having done that, scroll downwards and click on the “Delete a service or your account” option located in the “Download, delete or make a plan for your data” section.

When you get to the “Delete a Google service” section, click on the “Delete a service” section. If you’d wish to download and store your data from Youtube before nuking the account, click on the “Download Data” After that, you’ll have the option to check the list of Google services for downloading data. Also, you can choose the type of data as well as the delivery method.

With that done, click on the trash icon beside YouTube. Sign-in into your account when prompted to verify your identity.

Having done that, proceed and click on the “I want to permanently delete my content” to delete your account and all the content in it.

Check all the boxes to prove to Google that you understand what’s going on and would wish to go ahead. Having done that, click on the “Delete My Content”  And that’s all about using a browser to delete your Youtube channel.

From your mobile’s home screen, find the Youtube application icon and tap on it to launch it. By doing that, the Youtube application will take you to the Youtube home page.

On the homepage, navigate to the upper right corner and tap on the user account icon.

Having done that, tap on the “Manage your Google Account”

Next, tap on the “Account Preference” option.

With that done, go ahead and tap on the “Delete Google services” When you tap on that option, sign in to your account when prompted to verify it’s you and not any other intruder.

After that, tap on the trash icon found near Youtube. At this point, again, sign in to your account when prompted to verify that it’s you who want to delete your Youtube account.

After that, proceed and tap on the “I want to permanently delete my content” option if you want to delete your account and everything that it contains. If you are not yet prepared to delete your account, tap on the opportunity for hiding your account labeled as “I want to hide my account” when you opt to hide your account, all the activities in your account will be set to private.

If you still prefer deleting your account, go ahead and check the box to show that you understand the implication of deleting your account.

When done with that, tap on the “Delete My Content” Remember that this action cannot be reversed once done.

Sign in to Youtube and select the user icon.

From the drop-down menu, click on the “Settings” option.

Having done that, navigate to the “Google account” section and click on the “View or change your Google account settings”

After that, navigate to the “Privacy & personalization” and choose “Manage your data & personalization”

Next, scroll down and choose “Delete a service or your account” found in the “Download, delete or make a plan for your data”

Next, select “Delete your Google account” and sign in to your account if prompted to verify that you’re the one making changes but not anybody else.

Review the information page and check all the boxes to confirm to Google that you have understood that your account will be deleted. With that done, select the “Delete Account” and you should be done.
