Drench the fabric with fabric starch. Only then, the starch seeps all the way through the fabric and onto the wall.
  • You should now let the starch solution to dry completely for a few hours. After that, you must pull off the thumbtacks and remove off any excess fabric at the molding and ceiling or baseboards with the help of the utility knife. Once it is dried, you can now paint any color of fabric on the wallpaper.
