How do warts start?
A wart develops when a human papillomavirus (HPV) infects the outer layer of skin and causes the skin cells to grow rapidly. The virus can then spread from an existing wart to other areas of the body, causing more warts.
What can be mistaken for a wart?
A seborrheic keratosis is a noncancerous (benign) growth on the skin. It’s color can range from white, tan, brown, or black. Most are raised and appear “stuck on” to the skin. They may look like warts.
Will warts go away on their own?
Treat the wart.
When someone has a healthy immune system, a wart will often go away on its own. This can take a long time, though. In the meantime, the virus that causes warts can spread to other parts of the body, which may lead to more warts. Treatment can help a wart clear more quickly.
What does a wart look like in the beginning?
They’re small — from the size of a pinhead to a pea — and feel like rough, hard bumps. They may have black dots that look like seeds, which are really tiny blood clots. Typically they show up where the skin was broken, perhaps from biting your fingernails.

Why am I suddenly getting warts?

Can warts be cured?
There’s no cure for warts, but there are many techniques for removing them which often work to diminish their appearance and spreading. Warts can also clear up on their own without treatment, although it may take up to two years for this to happen.
Is it a wart or something else?

Neither of these spots have hair growing from them. Like skin tags, warts are typically colorless, unless the skin where it’s formed has a color distinction.

Warts are not pimples! They cannot be ‘popped’! There has been some research into using acupuncture needles to ‘prick’ the wart, make it bleed and activate the immune system to fight it off.
How do you get rid of a wart in 24 hours?
Gather a bottle of apple cider vinegar, cotton balls or cotton-tipped applicators, and a small bandage. Soak the cotton ball in apple cider vinegar, and apply this to the area where the wart is. Place the bandage over the cotton ball and leave it in place overnight. Some people may leave it on for up to 24 hours.
