Press and hold down the desired HomeLink button with the transmit button. Hold these two buttons down at the same time until you see the HomeLink LED start flashing at a much more rapid pace. Keep in mind that it should have been blinking at a slow pace prior to programming.
HomeLink works with nearly all garage door openers and gate systems.
Most standard garage door remotes today use rolling code technology and a learn button on the garage door opener motor. Older garage door openers—those manufactured before 1993—use DIP switches soldered to the circuit board to allow the remote to communicate with your opener.
The one button just opens the garage door. The three button has one to lock the door (if compatible) and one for the light.
