Create A Microsoft account on OneDrive

  • On your favorite browser, go to OneDrive page by typing “onedrive.live.com” on the address bar and hitting the “Enter” button. By doing that, you’ll get to Microsoft’s website.

Also, it is essential to note that Microsoft provides a cloud back up the capacity of up to 15 GB for every user.

  • Locate and click on “Sign Up” at the top-right of the page. Then, click on “Create a Microsoft account “on the pop-up menu. By doing that, you’ll get directed to the “Create an account” page on which you will get an online form to fill.
  • Enter your names according to the instructions and select your username. Your names should begin with the first name, then the last name, and finally, choose your username.   If you have Yahoo or Gmail account, you can use it as your username for Microsoft sign-in.
  • Create a secure password but one that you can easily remember. It should contain at least two uppercase and two lowercase letters, numbers, punctuation, or a symbol.  Re-enter the password for confirmation and proceed to the next step.
  • Select your country of residence, date of birth, and gender in the right boxes. Since these boxes have dropdown information, they make it easy for one to feed the information accurately.
  • Verify the information you’ve provided and enter the capture characters to continue. The characters are to confirm whether you’re a real person.
  • After that, click on the blue “Create account” bar located at the lower part of the page, and your account will be set-up. However, before you can start using Microsoft services, you should verify your username (email) that you provided during the account creation. To do that, you should open your email and click on the verification link sent to you and get your username verified.

Create Microsoft Account On Microsoft Sign-Up Page

  • On your favorite browser, access Microsoft sign-up page through the by clicking on the address bar and typing in “signup.live.com.” After that, hit on the “Enter” key on your keyboard. By doing that, you’ll get directed to Microsoft sign-up page.
  • Locate and click on the “Sign-up now” button located on the right side of the “Sign Up” option. With that done, you should get directed to a page with a form to fill.
  • Enter your name in the fields provided and select and select your user name. You should fill in your first and last name and then the username. If you have Yahoo or Gmail account, you can use it as your username for Microsoft.

Create Microsoft Account On Windows Phone

  • Scroll down your window phone’s home screen to locate a green Xbox tab and tap on it to open the Xbox Game Screen.
  • Left-swipe on your screen to find “Join Xbox or Sign In” and “Can’t see your Xbox account?”
  • Tap on the “Join Xbox or sign In.” by doing that, you should get notified that you need a Microsoft account to sign in. After that, tap on “Sign In” at the bottom of the message.
  • Tap on “Create one” when the message asks to either “Sign In” or “Create One” and proceed to the next step.
  • Enter your preferred email address for your Microsoft account in the text field to replace the example in the text field and tap “Next” at the bottom to continue.
  • Create a strong password featuring case sensitive letters, punctuations, and symbols. Re-enter the password to confirm it. Tap on the “Next” button at the bottom screen to proceed to the next step.
  • Enter an alternative email address at the top field of the new screen to act as a recovery email in the future.
  • Feed-in your postal code on the last box at the bottom of the page and tap on “Next” when through. Bravo! You got it. With your Microsoft account functional, the next step would be to get your phone backed up in the next step.

When through with the account set-up, you’ll get a prompt asking you to back up your window phone data into you’re newly created Microsoft account. If you’d wish to back up your data, tap on the “Yes” option. However, if you’re not ready to back up your phone and would want to do it next time, tap on “Not now” to skip the backup process.
