To measure the diameter of the tree, you need a tool called “cloth tape measure.” The standard rule is to measure 4.5 feet up the tree’s trunk. Keep this thing in mind. Next, we tell you the steps.

The first step is to find the point where you want to measure the diameter of the tree. Ideally, it is 4.5 feet up the tree trunk from the ground. This is the circumference of the tree. When you have this number, the next step is to divide it by the pi value, which is 3.14. The result you get is the diameter of the tree.

For example, if the circumference of the tree trunk is 24 inches, you need to divide this number by 3.14 which will show you that the diameter of the number is 7.64.
