1. Record Skype Calls Using the Skype Built-In Recorder

• Ensure your computer is using the latest version of Skype (Version 8) to be able to record your Skype calls. If your version is not recent, you have nothing to worry about. All you should do is to follow the steps below to download and install the latest version of Skype.

• In the pop-up menu, click on the “Start Recording”. Doing so will prompt Skype to begin recording your call.
• When you’re through with the call, click on the “Stop recording” and wait for the “Finalizing your recording…” notification to disappear before you can stop the call.
• Click on the white phone icon with the red background at the lower part of the window to End the call. If you forgot to stop recording, Skype would stop recording when you end the call.
• Click on the recording in the chat section to review your recording. It’s important to understand that everyone in the chat will record videos in the chat section, and they can click on the video to play it as much as they would wish.

After recording your call, Skype will keep the recorded call in the cloud and make it accessible through the chat section for 30 days before letting it disappear. But before the 30 days are over, you can save your call to your computer using the steps below for how to save recorded calls on Skype.
