In the second scene, Othello enters the bedroom to eliminate Desdemona. When she realizes what he’s going to do, she begs for mercy, but he smothers her. Emilia comes in and discovers the murder, where Othello tells her that Desdemona was unfaithful and that Iago knew the whole story.
