- Under the “General” settings, tap on the “About” option at the top of the menu.
- Under the “About” section, scroll downwards and locate the “Serial Number” section towards the top of the “About” menu
- View your iPhone’s serial number. If you need IMEI/MEID, CDN, or ICCID, scroll towards the bottom. Also, you can copy the serial number by tapping and holding on it until a pop-up menu appears. In the pop-up menu, tap on “Copy” to copy the serial number.

Using iTunes
- Launch iTunes on your computer. It is always found on the Dock if you’re using a Mac computer. However, if you’re using Winds computer, you can find the program located on the desktop or the start menu.
- Using a USB cable, connect your iPhone to a computer. You can use the cable that came with the phone or a compatible one.
- Locate and click on the iPhones button close to the upper-left corner of the iTunes and the left side of the “Library” dropdown. By doing that, a small-sized picture of your iPhone will appear in the panel on the left.
- In the left panel under the “Settings” header, click on the “Summary” to view the details about your iPhone in the left panel.
- Find your serial number from the “Serial Number” section located inside a box in the upper part of the panel. In case you need access to IMEI/MEID, CDN, or ICCID, click on your phone number.
Note: If you need your serial number to use for Apple Support when your iPhone is not working, you can provide your iPhone IMEI/MEID number to get help.
-
Using your Apple ID
- Using your favorite browser, log in to Apple ID Account page.
- Once in the Apple ID Account page, scroll down to locate “Devices” section.
- Select your device that you want to check for its serial number from the list of devices displayed in this section. By doing that, the list of devices will pop up. The details that you should see here include the IMEI and the serial number of your iPhone.
-
Using SIM Tray
- Ensure your iPhone device is off.
- Carefully eject your SIM tray from the side of your iPhone using the SIM tray removal tool. If you cannot find the tool, you can use a straight paper clip.
- Check for the IMEI and the serial number engraved on the SIM tray.
Note: Due to the current use of smaller Nano-SIM from the iPhone 5S and beyond, the SIM trays are increasingly smaller and do not have extra space for engraving the serial number and IMEI. However, for those using the original (iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S), this option works pretty well.
-
Using The Device Packaging
- If you have your iPhones packaging and receipt or either of them, you can still use any or both of them to check your iPhone’s serial number.
- In case you have your iPhone’s box, you can check for IMEI and serial number on the barcode sticker.
- And in case you have a digital receipt, you’re likely to find the serial number printed on it.
-
Using iPhone Back Up
- Open iTunes on Mac or PC.
- Select “Preferences” from the iTunes menu on Mac. On a Windows computer, navigate to “Edit” and then to “Preferences.”
- From the “Preference “window, click on “Devices” and find the most recent back up from the list in the “Devices backups.” From this backup section, you should find all the device backups done on the computer.
- After locating the latest backup, hover your cursor on the backup name over in the “Device Backup” list.
- A pop up will appear displaying the phone number, IMEI/MEID, and the much needed serial number. And that’s it.
-
Using another Apple device
- Launch the setting app on the other device linked to the same Apple ID.
- On the upper side of your screen, tap on your name.
