Step # 1: Begin by making Dragon Ball Z eyebrows first

In the first step, we will start by making his eyebrows first. Don’t forget to add the frown lines between his brows.

This creates that aggressiveness in his facial features.

Step # 2: Start making the eye shape and pupil

Moving on to step 2. Start making his eyeballs and make sure that they look big and perfect.

Anime cartoon characters, like Dragon Ball Z, have big facial features.

Step # 3: Make sure that you make both the eyes in symmetry

Now, carefully see if both the eyes are in asymmetry or not.

Step # 4: Draw a straight vertical line between the eyes for making the nose

Next, we will draw the nose for which you’ll need to make a straight line for the nose bridge.

Make a small tilt at the end as well.

Step # 5: Complete the nose into a diamond shape from the bottom

Now, you’ll complete the entire nose by making a diamond or downward triangle shape.

Step # 6: Draw the mouth with a tilted horizontal line and two small lines on both ends

Moving to the next step, we’ll now make the mouth of Dragon Ball Z.

Here, you’ll have to make a tilted line with small vertical lines at both ends with a double line for the chin dimples effect.

Step # 7: Draw lines under the eyes to create a dimple effect

We will also add two lines on the right eye along with one line under the left eye.

This is also for creating a dimple effect like seen on Goku’s face in Dragon Ball Z.

Step # 8: now make two lines for creating the face and jawline of Dragon Ball Z

The next step is for creating the head shape and jawline of this cool character.

Make sure they are a little tilted towards the end.

This is for making these two lines meet in the chin area.

Step # 9: continue the lines till the chin area to create the face shape

Continue both the line to create the jawline of Dragon Ball Z.

Step # 10: Next, draw the ears on both sides

Now, we will make the ears of Goku by making elongated circle shapes at both sides of his face.

Make sure not to forget to make the inner lines of his ears.

Step # 11: now we will make the hair by drawing his front hair falling on the forehead area

Now comes the fun part where you’ll have to make the hair of Dragon Ball Z.

Make spikes above his eyes like shown in the picture.

Step # 12: draw the neck and chest area with his muscular lines

Stop for the hair now and jump onto making the neck and chest area.

We’ll come back to the hair in the next step.

Make sure to add in the line over the chest to create his muscular body shape. Also, make the shirt design that he wears in the series.

Step # 13: now, we’ll come back to making the hair with long spikes as Dragon Ball Z has in his anime series

Coming back to his hair. Start making long spikes as shown in the picture below.

Step # 14: keep making long spikes along with an additional line in the hair to give a 3D look

Make sure that you keep on adding additional lines to create a 3D effect.

These lines will be used for shading when you start to color.

Step # 15: the last step is to start coloring the drawing to give the final touch

At last! Your drawing is now complete. Use the colors that are shown in the picture as he wears them in the anime series.
