The commonly used method for all car types is this one. Firstly, start y taking your key and inserting it in the keyhole. Once its there, twist it all the way to the right. Start by outing your key in the ignition and twist it till the car is on accessory. Moving on, get out of the car and open up your hood. Now, disconnect the negative terminal from the car battery and tap it three times. Once you have tapped it three times to the terminal, connect it again. As soon as it is connected, go back to the driver seat and start up your car.
Method # 3
Next up is another easy and convenient trick to shut that light off. The best thing about this step is that you won’t even need to put the key in the ignition. Start by opening up the hood of your car. Secondly, locate the negative terminal of your car battery. Similar to the previous steps, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Now let the hood remain open and go back.
Go to the driver seat and press on the horn for around 15 to 20 seconds. When you’re done, get out of the car and go back to the hood. There, you will spot the negative terminal you disconnected. Connect it back again. Now go back behind the wheel one last time. Startup your car and you will notice that the oil change light will be off.
Method # 4
For this method, you will need a cable as well. Open up the hood of your car and disconnect the positive and the negative terminal. Once both of them are disconnected, take a cable, and tie both the cables with each other. You have to be a little patient while doing this method. Let them stay connected to each other for about 15 minutes. Once the 15 minutes are over, connect them again. Connect the negative and positive terminal back to their places and close your hood.
Go back behind the wheel and start up your car. You will see that there will be no oil change light flashing at you. This is a very easy and basic method to get rid of that annoying light even after you’ve changed the oil.
